proper ph level????????

i bought one of those pre fab dwc setups from ebay. everything is working great and the seedlings(white widow from female seeds) are about 2 inches tall. here is my problem. the directions that came with the dwc say to keep the ph level between 6.2 and 6.8. is this right? i have read on some forums that the optimal ph level for cannibus is 5.1-5.9 in a hydro setup. now this leaves me obviously confused. im looking for some input from you experienced growers! thanx in advance -pat

p.s. im using dyna grow nutrients in case that matters at 1/4 strength

IDEAL Ph OF GROW MEDIA AND NUTRIENT SOLUTION/WATER: Between 5.7 and 6.4.

IDEAL pH OF SOIL: 6.5.

IDEAL PPM (parts per million) OF HYDROPONIC NUTRIENT SOLUTION: For rooted clones, established seedlings, or mature plants in vegetative and flowering phase, between 1000 ppm to 2000 ppm, depending on strain, grow media, and plants growth phase.

thanx for the info guys! ive heard something about nutrient lockout that occurs at a certain ph. what is that about?

5.2 is the optimal PH for hydroponics. Above 5.5 and you lock out nutes.

Here's a better chart that shows the actual nutrient availability levels at a given PH. Left side-soil Right side-hydro



Iron and phosphorous precipitate in nutrient solutions at pH levels above 6.
