Coles caught out claiming months old bread was baked that day
Supermarket chain Coles has been banned for three years from advertising that its bread was made or baked on the day it was sold.

Coles was also ordered to display a Federal Court notice in its stores and on its website telling shoppers that it had broken Australian consumer law by falsely advertising bread products as "freshly baked" and "baked today".
Federal Court judge James Allsop made the ruling on Monday after Coles was found guilty in June for making false, misleading and deceptive representations in relation to the freshness of its bread.
Coles has been banned from promoting its bread as baked on the day it is being sold or made from fresh dough for three years.
It must tell consumers of the ban and that it had been found to have made the false, misleading and deceptive representations by advertising bread as fresh when it had been made and partially baked and then frozen, sometimes months earlier overseas.
The court is yet to make a decision on whether to fine Coles, which faces penalties of more than $3 million.
The case was brought by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission after former Victorian premier Jeff Kennett complained when he discovered a loaf of Coles bread that was advertised as freshly baked in-store had been made in Ireland.

Ive been trying as hard as I can not to give my $ to either Coles or Woolworths, their trying as hard as they can to get as much money out of every Aussie's pocket as they can, petrol,food ,booze,gambling, trying to get into pharmacy and anything else that they can monopolize ..I buy bread at a local bakery,meat from a local butcher and fruit and veg and deli from a local independent green grocer ,my chemist has just been taken over by a chain operation so I changed to the last chemist in town who is an independent operator ..try going into a woolie's and asking anyone about something they are selling! i.e. ask What's that cheese like or ask for a suggestion what would go with it on a platter ? fuck me the days of service will be gone if people don't support their local shops..my local Record Shop closed six months ago ,I dont know how many times I've been into that shop and said "I dont know what I want" and old mate would start pulling albums out and asking "have you heard this" and send me home with a few CD's to broaden my musical horizons try doing that at a chain store...fucken sick of been serve by 18 year old imbeciles that dont know shit from clay or fucken retard's that think it al-right to be updating their fucken farcebook account while serving you...fucken sick off it I say

Years ago I went into a Cole's with a big backpack to put my shopping in and do the walk home,when I put my trolley off goods through the checkout they ask my to look in my pack and I replied ,sure there it is you can open it if you want then they replied, Oh sir you have to open it for us ! to which I replied I dont have to do anything then I went none responsive and wouldn't engage them any further...fucken ****'s called the cop's and I had to go through the same routine with them,turned into a big stand off where no one would open the bag..they settled for telling me to pay for my goods and leave and don't come back so I got right on my high horse and made my speech about the fact that I haven't done anything wrong and they couldn't stop me coming into there shop without a court order yadda yadda I wasted a shit load off people's time ,4 cole's dudes and 2 cop's laughing all the time thinking I love being a **** and had something to talk about when I got home now I'm just spiteful I get 1/2 a k off smoked salmon from the deli and stash it behind the nappy's

lol...just got back from bunnings today (bought some ISO to clean the bong)....i go to walk out the shop and showed the woman at the door the inside of my bag(pulled out the bag of chemist meds and palmed my pen that was in my bag in the same hand)...and rolling around the bottom of my bag was the ISO....and i say "i just bought that!" ....she says.."have you got a receipt?" ....i let out a huge sigh,shake my head and roll my eyes and say "yeeeaaa!" (in a dopey voice) and say (again in a dopey voice) "I wouldn't have volunteered to show you whats in my bag if i didn't just buy it and was trying to steal it!"...(shit i would have put it else where wouldn't I????...like in a pocket of the bag she didn't
check?!?)...and her reply"ahhh well ya dont know?".
...really brainless....shit like that stops me shopping at a business...stupidity....i payed for it 20 feet away,directly in front of her....if she wasn't standing there chatting to people she would have seen that!
stopped going to my closest chemist the other week....standing...standing....waiting...standing(in pain...there for meds)...knew that i was next...and this young new guy, when i walk towards him and say hi "tells me to join the back of this queue" and says like i am being rude jumping the queue..."other people have been waiting longer than you"(they weren't i saw them walk in) (and they all look at me in disgust like he knows what he's talking about and I'm a queue jumping scumbag)....needless to say i just walked out the store and wont be going back!!

We had the best pie shop in the entire world , it was family run by baker's that loved their craft ,people that took pride and were setting out to make the best possible product they could and they were the best pie's that I ever ate in my life then one fateful day a Michel's Patisserie came to town and set up shop selling their awful factory mass produce rubbish and ate into the profit off the local family business to the point they were no longer viable and close leaving Michel's Patisserie who shut up shop a few months later stating they couldn't make money in a small town and fucked off...the moral off the story is Michel's Patisserie is a pack of f@c&en ****'s
