Not much to report, its looking like late fall. Harvest will be in the next two weeks for everything but the haze, which will go into May.

loving that haze.. looks amazing... have patience with that plant.. ill tell u one thing. i grew some really sativa plants.. and was impatient.. and they looked great but the high was terrible. i let the clones go longer the next round.. and it was no ceiling type of weed.. like the more i smoked the more i kept getting higher.. and higher. it was amazing. now i make sure to let them go until 100% cloudy with a few amber if it doesnt take way too long to have some turning.. but 100% cloudy was amazing.

Thanks! Yeah you have to be dedicated to finish untamed genetics like the haze, but the finished product is of a quality all to its own. I like indica and hybrids though too, indoors they perform better.

It might be a long time still until I have 100% cloudy and amber trichomes, but I definitely agree. I have been sampling small buds from the haze as time goes on, she has so many small bud sample opportunities that it doesnt make too much of a difference, and I have found her to be steadily increasing in quality...not strength of the high, but the quality of it...I think for such hazes and pure sativas leaving them to proper maturity is absolutely a requirement to experience the effect properly.

What do these super sativa strains taste like and what is the high like?

As JointOperation mentioned, one of the best parts of the pure sativa effect is that it can be limitless. Where common varieties have a ceiling such that after a certain number of 'hits' or what have you, you stop getting any benefit and (in my case) smoking more after that point is unpleasant, with a burnout effect that can even make me feel not high at all, these types of sativas (mostly the gangly Oldtimer's Haze) allow you to keep getting higher and higher until the experience is pretty psychedelic. Where indica hybrids are more lethargic and narcotic, the sativas are closer to psychedelics or stimulants like LSD or amphetamine in low doses. The high from them is motivating and often creative, some types are more stimulating, some types produce visual effects and color enhancement, and so on. The entire cannabis genepool offers effects that span the entire spectrum of mind altering drugs, and these are at the psychedelic extreme.

The tastes vary plant to plant. The purple haze I grew last year had a flavor similar to nutmeg. This haze is like fresh wood chips and exotic fruit. The Chocolope crosses always have a great fruit aroma, and the Destroyer has blended with that to give a sharp 'cleaner' scent on top of a sweet fruit background.

absolutely gorgeous man.

Yeah for sure, I will try to do that next time I post pictures. Its not easy to capture them one ata time, they are all growing into each other's personal space. When I harvest I will have a good opportunity to capture individuals on camera.

Yeah Destroyer x Malawi is a great cross, I have four fem destroyer seeds left, and a pack of malawi regular seeds, so I think an upcoming seed run in this tent is going to happen so that I have a stash of definitive Destroyer x Malawi seeds, instead of trying to pick out Malawi traits from a run with two fathers. I love both strains, this is sure to be a winner too.

Sweet pics bear! For how long of a cure you are going?

Thanks! Im not sure Im going to be able to give these the proper cure time, since I am about out of my fall harvest and I have a lot of company coming to visit me this summer vis a vis cannabis tourism

I will definitely set aside a quart jar of each for a personal stash that I'll try to give four to six months of curing time. Oldtimer's haze quality is dramatically improved with longer 6+ months of curing.

wow thank you for sharing that beautiful sativa

my mouth is watering..

Mine too! Thanks for stopping in.

11 weeks and the Frost Monster (Destroyer x Malawi) is about 30% amber, 50% cloudy, and 20% clear, so I think she will come down now. Her smell and stickiness are strong. For the most Sativa pheno of the crosses, she finished fastest, maintaining the tradition from this seed run of sativa and sativa dominant plants finishing faster than my Indica dominant strains (mostly my 12 week afghan diesel). Anyway this will be a good chance for a shot of her alone, and harvest pics.

Just wanted to say after the fact that too much dark during flower is not what brings them out of flower, it is too much light. Had the dark-light photo periods been reversed it may have been uncool.

By the way, was it 4 or 5 months that you flowered them under the 1000 watt?

Happy Holidays

PS I would like to see some dry bud shots please of natural sativa smoke without indica mixes. Thx

man i admire your sativa tent lol.. we are prolly going to move into a bigger place in the next few months so we can expand.. when that happens.. im dedicating a 1000w for sativas.. i got a few that i havent run in a while.. because i didnt have the time to allow them to finish.. needed rent money and bills.. so we ran our faster flower strains to get by.. but i have 1 original haze in flower for 12 weeks.. i will be posting alot of pictures soon.. just ordered a new camera off ebay.. because the one i was using got dropped into the reservoir lol
