hey everybody im new to the forum ive been out of the game for 7 years now looking to get back in there lol im looking for the lowest maintenance hydro system posible? due to my job where i could be out of town for up to 2 weeks at a time, my room size will be 11.5'x20' also will need some of that space for veg/clone/mother room, and the max amount of light i would want to run 4x1000watt in the flowering room, im thinking im gonna need a grobot from pur gro to pull this of also, any suggestions would be awesome :tiphat:

Passive Plant Killer?

Modified wick system. It's in the indoor hydro forum. His new grow is called "a wicked pulse".

Have a nice day. bg

That's a long time between visits. As mentioned, the PPK design.....it corrects for fluctuations in Ph and nutrient uptake. It combines wicking action with an intermittent top feed.

havnt had a chance yet to look that much into the ppk yet just had a glance seems like theres tons of info all over on it, i was thinking more like stoneys sog grow but with just 2 4x8 tables but with a pur gro gro bot to control the grow while im gone, also like the idea of using hydron because its reuseable which means less trips to the hydro store

For anything to be any easier than the blumats it would have to fill its own tanks and mix its own nutes.
EDIT: I just realized that would be a blumat system connected to a faucet with the pressure reducer.

I think that one of the most low maintenance systems would have to be a bubbler. All that you need (besides nutes, ph up and down, meters,) is an air pump, water and your buckets.

Doing drain to waste in coco with 40 gallon reservoirs I really only have to come in the room once every 2 weeks when the plants are small to fill the rez back up, but then i turn feedings up and have to refill once a week when they get a little bigger, but if u used a bigger reservoir that would solve that problem.
Keep in mind tho that things happen, pumps go out n whatnot. I had a whole crop die on me at 7 weeks in cuz a power strip died.

I tried bio buckets a few times and found it pretty easy. I never had to change the reservoir for an entire run and I never had to adjust the ph. The secret is the waterfall (min. 8" drop into the res) that is vastly superior to bubblers for getting oxygen into the water. It's kinda noisy but it makes life easy and the plants love it. Plus there is so much oxygen in the water that the plants can live for more than 3 days if the power goes out.

i ran hybrid aeroponic with the res in the table.... once the roots touch the w\ter its fairly fail safe, and with a seperate res on float valve would be able to be generally maintnce free for a few weeks at a go if need be...
