I don't have a tatt, but if I ever did it would be a huge tattoo on my upper body of a cannabis plant....but I've yet to see a leaf or bud tattoo that didn't look crappy, immature two dimensional and more often than not, plain ugly. ...but with the right tattoo artist I guess it could be done.

then again, maybe I'll just get the tee-shirt

To answer the question of why, because this plant means a lot to me and has taken care of me for 14 years now. She keeps a roof over my head , food in my belly, and keeps my mind right, so this is the least I could do for her.

A blatant weed tat...no. A green dragon - ie tincture reference - yes, some day...given the right artist.

It really has to mean something to put it on me...so only have one to date; religious / blood line origin. Something, I can never deny now - it is a "mark" I'm proud of. A visual reminder to myself - who my ansectors were, and my personal choice of who I am in retrospect to that history.

I view it as one of the best decisions I've ever made. I feel great when someone actually sees it and then asks about it...and if I get a blank look / expression in response, I usually draw the opinion that individial could never fully appreciate who I am, and mentally write them off...

Not all ink is "just there"....

i have a tattoo of a dragon, inner lower arm. that i got around 18, got drunk before (i was drunk and got a tattoo is a nice story so i did it. :))

couldnt find a picture i liked, but a friend found the one i have and suggested it to me, dug it enough to get it.

felt like slow torture with knives.

nowadays, i dont think about the tattoo, its just a part of me, keeps amazingly vibrant in color, despite its age. maybe because i dont give a fuck about how it looks.

Lol, it was 1980, I´ve stolen ink at school. Laying in my bed at night an wanted to tattoo the initals of my today wife, that time "high school love", with a security needle. The initals are S G and stupid fool me I tatooted the S reversed.:biggrin:

Since that day people ask me,: "Why do you got a 26 on your arm?" :laughing:

I'll be getting the new date tattoo'd after finishing my next one in 2 weeks. Seamaiden has some suggestions to highlight the flames too. Of course, my $70 dollars goes entirely to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Yup thats funny as shit,, even funnier to me cause I got one.
no shit,,1970 something I really dont remember I was at school and fell for a "town girl" named Barbra, swiped all the stuff and sat on my bunk poking holes in my arm, several guys walked past my rack and one reported me to the Sgt at Arms and ended my attempt at showing my un-dying love to the cute lil town girl (shad-up I was 13 fa crist sake) I was trying for her first name but only got the B done, and it goes down the arm not across so the B looks like a tiny little set of BooBs.

Not including the B, I have few real Tattoos, and like Dank-Frank I call one my mark its a large piece that covers my shoulder down to just above the elbow of my Family Crest,the mark of my family and its place in Irish Heritage, A friend in NY who is a sports artist/forensic artist drew it for me and turned it into an original piece of art, never to be another like it. Other shoulder to elbow piece is a unit patch,,14 were inked in 1989,in Jacksonville NC, 9 are still walking to tell about it, including mine, a trible piece on the back of my neck I got on a small island off the coast of Okinawa Japan that was done traditionial Japanese style, kinda my favorite one but I never get to see it. Point is each means something more than just a cool tattoo and always will. I regrete none of them ,,not even the one I got 2 years after the B episode, a pro tat of ,,,wait for it,,,,yup another "town girls" name and this time it got finished but dam guys,, I was 15, she was 19, and looked just like Debbie Harry, I shit you not,,bright blonde hair, red pouty lips and a sweeeeeeeeeeet a$$.
