Cooltube + DWC quick question... please help!

Just a quick question. I've got 2 10 gallon dwc/swc bins on either side of my vertical 400w cooltube. They are 4" from the cooltube. I've got a 200 CFM fan pulling through the cooltube.

Can anyone weigh in on this? Are my bins too close to my cooltube to maintain the low temps needed with DWC?

I plan on covering the bins with aluminum tape to dissipate some of the heat, as well as SM-90 to combat root rot... think I'll be cool or am I way too close to the danger zone?

run the light horizontal and scrog,DWC +scrog = huge yeilds+ the canopy keeps the totes cooler.Using a 400 and growing full size plants=alot of popcorn cuz of light penetration.

ive been running 2- 18 gallon totes under about a 3x3 screen .4 plants per tote and averaging 2 oz per plant wich gets you approx a gram a watt.

Hey thanks for the info and suggestions! That chart is awesome, bookmarked that one for sure. One thing I've been unable to find actual numbers on is how my cooltube affects my lumen and temp output, but I feel like it can't be TOO far off from those numbers.

Unfortunately my space doesn't allow for horizontal lighting (only working with about 26" in my cab) and I thought I was going to be stuck with some sort of fluoros till I saw heady blunts grow and that convinced me otherwise. And I will definitely be going for higher plant numbers once I get the hang of things but for now 2 is the golden number.

Decided to just go with 5 gallon tubs instead. Distance from cooltube is now about 9" on either side so I think I'll be good. I'll have to top off more frequently, but it'll have to do.
