Alright people...I have narrowed it down.

I have 540 watts worth of GLH LEDs (3x180w panels)

One 600w dimmable ballast

One 4'x8'x7' grow tent

0ne 8" 590cfm fan good for 2.5 o2 exchanges a MINUTE!!! yaay...:) thats alot of air movement.

One 52LB carbon filter (which I have questions about).

This is my setup intent to create a competition environment:

Everything will be done in composted organic soil using AACT teas. No pH pens for me. I blend my own soil using peat, top soil, and EWC as a base along with a long list of amendments.

The digital 600w digital HPS will be setup vertically but I will be running the ballast at 75% or 450w and maybe 100% for the last 2 weeks o flower(not sure yet). I will grow 5-6 plants in 3gallon smart pots around a vert. SCROG screen.

The 3x180 GLH leds will be hung horizontally over 2 - 35 gallon totes. I plan on running a no till organic bed with some form a mulch being either alive or top layered with bark/cotton burr. I don't know whether to do 4 or six plants in this department? What do you all think?

So I wonder which side will produce a better yield. The 90w power advantage of the LEDs or the vertically hung less powered HPS?

What do you all think?

And I have a question about my cooling setup because I will not have room inside the tent for the filter so take a look at this and let me know what you think.......will it work? Thanks ICmag!!!!

And to alleviate confusion...the filter wont be on top of the tent, it will be on the floor behind the tent.

Should I run a single exhaust port at the vertical side or run the dual exhaust like illustrated?

Also the diagram depicts two vertically hung bulbs....disregard that.

The more bends you put in that line the less cfm you will get.. I would moun the 90 flange onto the tent then mount the scrubber right onto that shorter the better. You dont need to exhaust it from 2 locations.. With all those bends your 600cfm is now a 200cfm.

Awesome..So I will just have one direct line from the tent to the filter. I wont have any problems pushing the air like that through the filter? I never done it like that before, always pulled air through the filter.

put some kind of filter over your intake opening.you will clog the carbon filter up fast if you dont.doesnt take much, the blue white prefilter material will work.

Thank you very much. I was planing on cutting the prefilter down to size and inserting into the inside diameter flange. Think that would do the trick?

Im not to concerned about CFM loss. I am running a 600cfm fan for 224cuft of volume.......

Well its been a long minute. I got a later start then anticipated but finally picked up two clones and a female Kong bean that I just germinated.

The two clones I got are in real rough shape. One is a vanilla Kush which was growing in a dixie cup for over a month getting nothing but tap water. It looks like hell but am certain I can save her! I transplanted her yesterday in my very own organic soil and water with a nice AACT tea. She does look awfully rough though......

The other clone is a strawberry diesel. She is okay; was growing in some miracle grow organics choice. I took her out of that and rinsed the roots and since transplanted in my organic soil with a nice AACT tea watering. A little shocked I imagine so I wont see growth for a good 72 hours I bet.

The Kong bean is off to a strong start. Germinated in 25 hours and will have broke soil in another 25 hours. Usually seeds take me 2-4 days to germinate and another 2 days to break soil. I'm excited about this strain too!

Sorry the pictures are terrible...I am using my iphone because I just moved and everything is in boxes and disarray. But all my equipment is showing up.

My Veg tent was shipped with no corner brackets to assemble the poles into and had two slices from a box cutter right through it. The company is sending me a brand new one and letting me keep the old busted ass tent so I dont know what to do with it?

Lighting will be he described before and my flower tent is enroute all though I wont need it for a little while. Anyways, thanks for watching. I plan for 16oz every month with this setup which will rock my socks if I achieve it!

Edit:
left to right....Strawberry diesel, Vanilla Kush, and the kong is covered under the zip lock.
