Details on how to clean up after finding TMV

How do I clean up after finding TMV? Do I use bleach? At what strength? Are the pots reusable? Do I rinse them off (and how many times for each type of pot, ie, plastic pots or clay pots)? if I can eveb save the pots? What do I do with the old soil? How long do I wait before starting new seed to prevent them from being infected?

I have read a lot about TMV here, but have not found any "clean up" threads. While I am not the sharpest pencil in the box, I am not the dullest either.

Can you give me a clue, or an idea for the correct search string?

i can't remember brushing my teeth this morning!

i'd love to direct you to a particular thread...i just cannot. I think Sam the Skunkman said tmv is controlled/killed? with aspirin...but not where/which thread he said it.

what i read is that the whole op is shot to shit...you might try some of Spurrs threads too.

From the threads I have read, aspirin just helps against, does not eradicate TMV. I want to get rid of TMV, not control it. If I have to nuke my grow and start from square one, that is fine.

I am asking for information on what I need to do to rid my grow of this problem! I will search the threads you suggested. But so far, all of the threads I have found just say to "clean up" the grow.

I am sorry if I am duller than I thought I was and am missing something.

i have yet to see proof of a true tmv diagnosis... haven't been through the entire long ass thread which has pics of practically every disorder/problem one can imagine, or not in a while... so maybe someone has had it tested positive with corresponding pics... but... i doubt it. please prove me wrong with this... i'll eat crow.

u sure you got tmv running rampant, infecting everything in the garden, such that it must all die?

as a general sterilizing method for the place... try some physan 20 and mix it to 10ml per gal. it's much more pleasant to douse everything in the room with... you can still work in the area afterward & during, unlike bleach.
