questions about DIY 3x3 ft Hood

If you scroll down a tad, he made a nice reflector out of one big sheet metal. I was curious if anyone had a graph paper design or know the calculations to design a 3x3 ft hood or something around that.


I'm guessing it needs to be around 11-12 inches tall also. I've been having a hard time trying to draw one up(not to good at geometry), and it's going to be 8 inch air cooled.

also does anyone know how much a 3x3 tempered glass would cost also? thanks

Don't go there, you'll lose a load of light not having the best reflective material and so on. I you can afford it get a proper air cooled reflector!

You can get reflectors that are almost 3*3 i think

I'm going to use the proper material for it, and put reflective aluminum in the reflectors inside, and also air cool and use glass...

I'm debating which size would be best for 4x4 area 600 watt light...

if anyone can be of help thanks.
