How do you all use hygrozyme with coco? It's pretty expensive so I was just thinking about using it the 1st two weeks of veg to break down old roots since i re-use my coco medium; and maybe the 1st two weeks of flower?

Do you use it every watering or when and how much do you supposed to use?

i would like to start using some enzymes as well with my coco grow. I would say start with 1/4 strength and go form there.

I hand water in hempy buckets. I use hygrozyme at 5ml/gal once a week right from clones till about week 4 in flower. its a must if you reuse your coco

Add: i generally mix 5 gallons at a time which takes care of 2 daily waterings. So i guess you could say twice a week

i only use cannazyme at 1/2 strength for my coco grow and i reuse my coco every time, adding some fresh coco to make up what i throw out with the roots.after its all mixed i then give a good doze of cannazyme before planting my rooted clones into it.stay lucky

hmm ....IMO i would NOT recommend using it with clones....1st of all theres no point...what dead root matter are you breaking down?? and second i did use it once on clones and i developed damping off and i had to pull them out cut off the bottom end of the stem and start again.....lastly the stuff is a waste of money....dont even waste ur money on it....a good mycorrizae is 100 times better, and if u want to go the cheap route use hydrogen peroxide at 5ml per gal every time or use bleach at 1/10 tsp per gallon every time

got ''root aphids'' once from reusing coco. pain in the ass to get rid off. the plants were less health either from the little basterards or the bastard killers. either way it slowed down my grow but i got a good yeild. go figure after all that work it went to the rippers. maybe a preventive maintinece to ward off pest from the coco. I was playing with fired and got burnt

Hygrozyme is not just for breaking down old root matter. I use it every watering 1-2 tsp per gal in fresh coco. Ive never seen happier plants the stuff works wonders. Im using it in conjunction with myco and ff grwbig bgblm tgrblm as well as green fuse grow and bloom.

i reuse my coco(which is full of old, dead roots), and i've been using hygrozyme for a little while, mostly in veg. By the time the plants get to bloom, most of the old roots are broken down. It seems to work. I also had good luck with cannazyme.

Not sure if you have to use these products(which are very expensive), i imagine something like a light hydrogen pyroxide solution wash through would work too..?

If someone could explain to me why you would reuse your coco, but buy a product that is 135 dollars a gallon to pour on it, I'd appreciate it? Coco is like 20 bucks a bag.......

see.....an amazing point you brought up......seriously hygrozyme is a waste of money.....use a myco innoculant if you want your roots to explode and they also secrete enzymes in the process.....

or h202 decomposes dead root matter + addes O2.....

krunchbubble also advocates using bleach at a very small amount 1/10 a tsp i believe to keep a dead rez

A soil scientist I speak to tested it, and says it has no enzymes in it. I used it and it did nada for $40 a quart. Used pond enzymes, and what they really do is remove some npk from the medium, why not just feed correctly to start. I guess I'm antizyme! Used multi zen, cannazyme,s.o.s, and hygrozyme. Tried enzymes for my stomach too, tasted good thats it.

Who friggin knows anymore these days right!? I got a bottle of Hygrozyme. I was using it for a little bit and stopped. Don't know why I did but I did. I dug the bottle up from where I store my nutrient arsenal and will give it a try again. So whatcha guys think. Coco/ soil/Soiless is what I should use it in again or for hydro. I use multizen from H&g and I kinda like it. But def wanna get more into and info on getting some good enzymes In the medium. Whether it'd be from bottled or not bottled stuff. There's obviously more reason to use enzymes then just to breakdown old/dead roots and such right. So it wouldn't hurt to try and see what's up. I've always heard of people praising Hygrozyme saying. "Oh it's magical blah blah blah, I will never do a run without it, it's my secret weapon etc..." But from what I've been reading and have seen for myself. I don't know about it being all magical and such. But if you grow your plants properly and feed the goods , I Guess you don't need to go nuts on all those products. So no one really knows what Hygrozyme really does lmao from the research I've done. I love that no one really knows. It's funny to me. Friggin marketing man haha. One love to all you guys an gals. Hopefully someone who really had great results with it can fill us in
