You think the adds were bad,, you should have visited the shops.. lmfao :canabis:

Those places were rude and didnt cater for "under-age" growers .. over-priced and unhelpful ... lol :bandit:

Docleaf is right on,,I went to sunlight sytems in brum once!!,around 91,,i thought it was my age and colour..treated me like a right c**t.

i remember hearing the hells angels were behind sunlight systems.

Used them a few times, they're alright I suppose. Prefer Greens Horticulture and they're a friendly helpful bunch if you ever swing round theirs.

Thats what i would've thought, strange, i think ill go to homebase & pick up a couple more cheapo ones just incase this one does go, knowing my luck first day of flowering it'll go on the blink!

I need another timer for my electric heater to keep dark hours warmer & switch off the heater when lights come on anyway

Cheers for the help...

Envirolite do a good timer/contacter unit. it looks like a normal plug in timer, but is meatier inside..... I've had one on my 600w sodium for nearly 2 years and its faultless. They are cheap too, I got it from an ebay shop (i think) and it was £12!!! If you search it on google you should find them somewhere.

i used to deliver to them

the guys in fulham are a great bunch

i would try 3c. they are great if you can collect your gear.

i dont use the mail, unless i need something small, and un-breakable.

fed-ex and dhl will throw your shit around.

Yeah I agree, Fulham are cool and nice and easy to park out of sight if thats your thang.

Used mail order once and was fine but as not too far prefer to drive and collect.

I've already used Growell for most of my stuff, spent around £500-700 with them, 250wHPS setup in a medium BudBox, Bio-Canna range of nutes & soil, gaffa tape, blackout sheets etc... At first went to the fulham branch to get the big bits, then started using mail order out of lazyness if im honest.

Every mail order ive had from them something was missing/out of stock & ive had 2 Grasslin timers stop working on me, so not that reliable (the Homebase £5 timers work better than those grasslin ones!)... i still use them just due to the range of stock they have, and they are veyr helpful, you can call them up & they'll happily talk about your plant problems etc...they got that awesome catalogue too!

I do sometimes wonder if i should have ordered from them with my card/address details though...

Im still gonna use Growell for my next order as i need the particle filter they sell & no other shops sell the intake particle filters, i was just wondering how trustworthy other people feel they are? The website claims it uses the latest in security technology etc...

I only ever shop in person, hate having anything delivered... someone in the supply chain always knows where the products come from and someone always knows where they end up! I do know people that have used growell for years without problems though

growell are good ive used them a few times but one thing that always puts me off ordering my main bits from them is the fact they keep records of all transactions on computer, so know exactly whos bought what, when and where they live /had it delivered to.
i prefer places that dont keep your order info on file.
its handy i suppose cos my fans just broke so they can check it an replace it if it still in warranty no need for receipts etc.
still a bit dodgy tho.

I agree Growell have been sending me a catalogue to my old address for months they sell everthing that you want (a bit pricey) but dont like it that they keep your address for mailing.

I just got a catalogue from them today that somebody in the mail service has felt the need to partially open and look at. Quite worrying really.

I don't even use them any more unless they have something nobody else has as they as very pricey. I mainly use 3ch , greenshorticulture & progrow these days. 3ch are usually cheapest on everything.

Growell very pricey compared to other similar companies. Personally I use Greens and 3CH as their prices are reasonable and the service is excellent.

sunlight systems!memories, bought my first light and seeds from them in leicester, had to drive there, i asked a question about growing the seeds and the girl was like ssshhhh!!!!
That was the only place i knew of back then about 20 years ago,not like today when information and supplies are so easy to get, i had my ballast that took a mh and hps,my nirvana superskunk and a bottle of miracle grow, got a fantastic harvest.

Growell have been my main supplier for the past few years and they've never let me down. always very helpful on the phone and prompt delivery.

Never had a problem with them missing parts of my order or packing things improperly.

They may not be the cheapest around but they are a trustworthy company that will always have my business.

hello, yes i have done since i started growing which was in the later region of 1999.growell is the only one i use ,but saying that if you plan on buying substrate like coir or turbo soil (or anything heavy i tink!)your better off buying from ebay because growell add a £5 surcharge on top,and then theres the upped price of £5.95 p&p- there catalogue is always welcome
though, cya bud. eee.
