Pc towercase grow, HELP needed

Ok so I have made growcase for my friend. Now plants are in flowering and have been for about one and half weeks. Plants are tied down and have been shooting sidebranches vigorously, but vertical space is almost at it's limit.
I said to my friend that just tie them down more but he said nope it's allmost impossible allready.
So I'm asking from you the vast population of growers what would you do? Below a picture to make things clearer.

Plants can be LST'd in veg stage but not that far into flowering. You risk snapping the stem and stunting growth which will effect yield or prolong length of flowering.

You can squeeze the stems at the tips right beneath the new growth, this will slow down/stop stretch.

So you mean squeeze from every stem that's a new "headstem". and by tips beneath new growth you mean the allmost uppest part of the stem where on top of the stem is new growing leafs. Would this affect flowering time by much or yield? (as yield is allready quite small offcourse because of available space)
I assume that squeeze on the stem breaks the insides and after that plant takes couple days to repair damages made by "supercropping" and after this has been done flowering might resume normally. If that's the case I think this could be the way to go?

yes. sorry for the slow response. the uppermost part of the stem that you can safely squeeze with out damaging the top growth. ..and yes like supercropping in the sense that you're damaging the inside and the plant will take a few days to repair. I think of it as fimimg without removing any growth. Not exactly the same but that's the closest comparison I can think of.

I do alot fiming btw, and I don't think pinching is superior, just different techniques for different circumstances. For example I would fim if the plants are still stretching well and have time to recover, if the stretch is close to it's end then I would just pinch instead. The times that I've fimed at the end of the stretch seemed to reduce yields, hard to say for sure but it felt like it.

It will probably decrease the yield slightly in that particular branch. It's kind of a tradeoff because if you don't do something to keep it short, it's gonna tower over your other budsites and shade them. That shade will decrease your yields on your other branches. You could always try a few different techniques on similar size/structured branches and test the results first hand.

I do this regularly. This one was tied down then touched the lights so supercropping it 4 weeks in the first pic, 5 in the second ::huggg:

Yesh thank you guys, my friend got the plants a little shorter by tying them down just a little more. Side branches are still shooting to skys an will get pinched (if still needed stretch should be allmost done), btw these two ak48 at the sides of the box are the most vigorous growing plants that I have ever witnessed. They just respond aggressively and fast to everything that my friend does to them. I'm hoping some killer hits will come of this :smokeit:

Can't wait for this because as allready said these Ak's seem to be monsters. I can only imagine if this had been in a proper space with Co2 and under hps  Oh well in my point of view this has gone extremely well so far, hence this is our first experience in microgrowing. My role has been the constructor and advisor. Friend has done all the caring and given them a loving enviroment to mature. I'll keep you up to date with this if someone has interest to see on how this is done in Finland

Overview of the plants, and Rightside Ak48 side(main)branches, are also producing buds just like the mainbranch.
Oh and these photos are from beginning of third flowering week

I myself are really happy that we decided to try pcgrowing, it has proven at this point to be really stealth and sufficient way to grow small harvest to personal needs. We might be doing this all the time from now.:whistling:

what to do when you are out of head space is to try and use the lamp vertically , this way you can use all the height for plants and have the light in the middle of the garden , I believe this would work better with 2 bigger plants one on the left side o the lamp and one on the right side , each using up half of the box/pc tower

l33t is right..if you can get that light in between, you are laughing..especially with cfl's..i had my plant right beside the side lighting and it helped major...the plant can touch the light no problem too..
here's what mine looked like..I know its different from yours but this is just an example..the side lights really helped those buds..the buds were tight too and most times with cfl's, you get airy buds..I just rotated my plant to always have light everywhere but you can just put your light right between your plants...
Hope this helps

I was just reading an older post about using something called "Bushmaster". If it is used correctly, it will stop the stretch when used at the beginning of 12/12. Don't know nothing, just passing the info. I veg in a PC also, good luck!

That's great work for the size of light you're using, awesome! Do both of you plan to keep the case this way or are you guy's thinking of any improvements to it the next go around? But it does look like it's all been covered nothing need to be done at all. Again Awesome!

Well only thing is that I would like to turn the case upside down so that it would not be roof on the floor. Friend attached light rackets to the floor:biggrin: that pummed me out, but not pummed anymore!
So that would be nice, that way exhaust fan would be on upper part of backpanel. Mmm what else??? maybe detach wooden lightrackets and move light as close to the roof as possible.

Allthough considering this grow, improvements might be unnecessary.
I'm leaving friday to visit this friend of mine and i'll be able to see these babygirls performing liveshow :dance013:
