Sharksbreath Seeds not germinating

I have had these seeds on ice for 4-5 years. Took them out to germinate on the full moon, but 4 days later nothing.

I used my usual method soak for 24 hours then transfer to unbleached paper towel, a dab of 3% H2O2, and a dark space.

Any ideas? Could it be the waning moon?

easy method to germ: freeze seed, put in film canister, fill to half with water (i use well water), and place in dark area 80*F constant. i use the back of my crt monitor for warmth. when the tail emerges(24-72hrs) carefully plant like normal.95% germ rate. never seen moon phases affect anything indoors.

You can try scarification (lightly brazing the outer coat of the seeds). There's a post here where somebody got years-old seeds to germ by manually cracking them open.

yeah, line the inside of a matchbox with some sandpaper, and gently shake the seeds around in the box. Scarification or "scuffing"
