Can someone suggest what nutes to use to get rock hard nugs?

rock hard dense nugs?

any good nutes, the right strain, and proper pruning will get you rocks. Basically, just find the strain you want and know is proper, then treat it good. Alot of strains just don't naturally get as tight as you are referring to. Take some pure sativa's for example. Some sativa's are hard to get to form a real "nug", let alone tight.

keep your grow room envroment under control no hi heat keep 400w lights w/in 1 ft 600w lights 14-18 inch 1k lights 18-24 inch above plants tops. ferts arent gonna be what produces dense hard nugs the strain and grow enviroment have more to do with dense hard nugs then ferts. take the last 1 gal bags i harvested last month they where fed 1 time with ferts whole flower run. only some of the lwoers wernt dense all tops where rock hard !!!

lights heat space and ferts. the right amount of light .the right temperatures to high a heat causes airy buds. do not over feed try to hight the sweet spot.it might take 2 grows to find the right sweet spot to grow the strain you pick. take ak47 it will grow some nice tight buds if all other things are in line.

indica dom strains ie. bubba kush, diff. purples. sativa genes will always loosen things up a bit. optimum temps ie. 75 and below.

Remember the denser the nug the more prone to mold ... I found a little on 1 of my Mass Super Skunk X Sourbubble plants ... the one with the tightest nugs. These fuggers will break windows ...

ffof soil pbp bloom ferts i did try gravity on these this run but all other runs they where rock hard anyways. im usen gravity to see if it can bump my yield up some
increase your room air circulation fans 24/7 mine never turn off it helps to control PM so will dehumidifier if your RH is high.Weedman Herb said:

let me add for the pics above lighting is 400w hps in cooltube 400w mh in air cooled hood lights are vented into attick. temps 82-84 lights on lights off whatever house is 73-74, keeping temp swing in check helps control stretch at begining of flower. and helps to produce dense nugs low to mid 70's are ideal temps upwards to mid 80 is acceptable 90's hope you have Co2

c6h6- you are on the right track. 68-74 is optimum.
weedman- another cause of powdy mildew is high nitrogen late in flowering.
maj.- i have great success with gravity. it really finishes them off nicely. just remember to bring down the ppm's a bit when applying.
plants are kinda like humans: if your cold, you will bundle up and bring extremities closer to your body. the exact opposite happens when your hot. you need more air to cool off.

blue light (CMH or MH) and gravity.
this i dissagree hps give the hardest denset nugs cmh mh bulbs produce ok but not as dense as hps. my plants that flowered under hps where much denser then what flowered out under my mh. now i start my plants off under the mh then few wks later whats under hps is harvested and whats under mh is mover over to under hps. MH is great for begining of flower during the 2-3 wks stretch phase.gramsci.antonio said:
now from what i understand the ppl who sell the cmh bulbs are true asshats i know 2 local hydro shops refuse to carry that product. i thought about that band wagon but no thx i'll stick with conventional mix hps and mh side by side w/in 2 ft of each other.

I like Jack Herer sensi seeds there solid hit them with gravity 4 weeks before done. Keep light close as possible to plant without burning!

I have grown cmh and hps. my last NL scrog was grown under the 400w cmh's start to finish. pulled some nice bud but they were not as dense as buds I had flowered in the past under hps bulbs. actually, they were quite airy.
for experiment on this grow........I just finished a side by side WW grow using clones from the same mom, same grow environment, nutes etc. the buds under the 400w hps are more dense than the 400w cmh. I veg'd both sides under cmh's and also used the cmh's the first 2 weeks of flower during the stretch. then one cmh bulb was replaced with a $20 Philips hps 400 from H Depot.
now which one smokes better? that is yet to be determined since im only in my 2nd week of curing. it will be a few more weeks.
