Hi RollinRuger

I grew sensi's #1 outdoors. I wrote a report in the OD strainguide in the OD section.
I had two pheno's. one branchy, upright and 6'. The other shorter with branches closer to the main stem.

It has a good stone and well worth the money but i really like affies and In my view there are several that are better strain. In fact, i found nirvana's afghani to be a much better. Every plant the same, quicker to finish and considerably more potent, with a better MF ratio. Because im an od grower, HGF 's does well and is more consistent than sensi's.
Im a sensi fan, but their afghani #1 is not one of my favorites, but most of the reasons its not can be attributed to outdoor performance and may disappear indoors. I wouldn't choose it as a breeder but others might disagree.

Maple leaf now, she's the real deal.

How was the yield od's with the maple leaf indica compared with afghani no.1? And how does black dominia compare with the other two?

RR - Not afgani #1 but these came straight from Afganastan. Nice heavy smelly smoke is what these girls are all about. Couchlock city!! Good luck with your girls! They are nute hogs and just get super plumped up the last 3 weeks.

BlkDom is a hybrid or cross of mulitple strain so you will have many phenos to look through. There are definetly some killers in there. The yield between Affie and MLI is comparable.

Lets all grow what Rainman is growing!

Maple leaf yields a bit more than the shorter pheno of #1 but about the same or maybe slightly less than the upright branchy pheno. It is a cross of 2 landrace afghani's.

Maple leaf is a week quicker to finish, taste 100x better, (yum yum ) and in my view only has 1 pheno. One is a bit branchier but its insignificant especially if you top it. No difference in stone or yield between MLi plants. 6-8 oz's outdoors where i grow it. Similar for no. 1.

There is a major difference in the high. Affie#1 is a heavy, somewhat dull stone, and becomes heavier, but potent with a good cure. MLI can only be described as calming, happy and warm. You smile immediately and keep smiling. Relaxing. If the plant is allowed to overripen and with a long cure, its incredibly narcotic, but still euphoric, you just close your eyes when you smile.
Ive been growing MLI for years and wouldn't be without it.

But again, Nirvana's afghani is a much much better plant than sensi's no. 1. I keep several packs of it. good breeding.

Thanks for the love guys! She was a decent yeilder (2 zones) but the smoke was very narcotic and munchie inducing. A little harsh and nondescript in taste but would prolly be a good candidate for some crosses like Silverback noted on his above. Crazy resin production and just swelled up in the last 3 weeks. I imagine the Afgani #1s will look similar to this and have similar characteristics. Great strain for hash if you are into that side of things.

I havent smoked any since 2001...but if the quality remains the same nowadays...I´ts an extremely underrated strain IMO.
Very stinky.I smoked many buds grown both in & outdoors here in Spain that were absolutely killer...I mean,"knowledgeable" friends=cripple friends K.O :muahaha:

Thank you for all the replies. Rain man looks great. silverback 6-8 oz's outdoors, would you consider that a low yielder, or is that just the method its being grown? (late planting) Damn i think im gonna have to hit up that MLI. Any comments on their hindu kush? I have heard it is subpar, but thats just heresay

Sensi Afghani #1 ?
Try it, you will like it.
I grew it out a couple years ago.
No problems other than a bit of mold at the end due to the bud density.
Good yield indoors with minimal stretch, in my experience, medium to heavy feeder when I grew them in soiless mix with fish emulsion and bat guanos.
Nice earthy hashy taste and I would have to give the stone a 7-8 out of 10.
Leaves were thinner in these plants than other indicas in my past experiences. Do I remember detecting a bit of skunk in there?

RR - Mine was a decent yeild due to the fact that I was trying to get her done before the 100 degree temps hit my area so i pumped up the nutes. Big mistake and she didn't like it at all. Still had 100+ heat issues in the room as well!! If I had done her in the fall she woulda been way bigger and bushier. Smells really dank and musky late in flower too. If you like the knock you out couchlock then the afganis are a great choice. Good luck on whatever you grow! Peace.
