Golden Tiger fem backcross (GTF3 x MKB) x GTF3) I crossed to an indica with sativa dominant high. Helped with the stem strength, flower time and the colder weather in Canada. The hybridization made some phenos have less edge, but most are very heady racy or energetic euphoric, no couch lock or hunger, great medicine for me.
Most of them smell and taste like strawberry chemicals / permanent maker / oil or some with strawberry granola. The mom I posted like a year and a bit ago, she had super loud lemon berry oil granola terps.
Thanks ace for golden tiger! I really enjoy her!

Update from my guerrilla site located in the northern part of New Zealand. The plants are currently around 1m tall and doing well. The GTs I grew last season kept vegging till March so, the weed gods permitting, both should grow to a good size. Given the dearth of outdoor grows on icmag at the moment I will keep posting updates

I will wait a good 6 months for my final smoke report because this one is evolving A LOT with curing. Still ... I give you an early one.

Aroma is herbal and complex. Really minty with notes of carrots and gin.

As for now, I can already tell you the effects are epic. The strongest and most psychedelic bud I ever grew, even stronger than my Malawi. It hits you fast and hard but the high keeps building long after you smoke. First part of the high is totally stupefying and mind blowing. Its hard to formulate a complete sentence. While your mind is stimulated big time, you lose your short term memory. The effects comes in waves and last forever. Alternance between laugher and WTF moments where nothing make sense around you. They are highly visual. You're in a movie and wear permanent 3D glasses. You end up crashing big time 2-3 hours later while your head is still all around.

Actually, when I was younger, I experimented with Artemisia vulgaris. Felt like a little tickly, fell asleep fast.

I shook up next morning, When a giant glowing golden Tiger jumped on me and caught me. Ive never had such a shock before. Can a dream be a 'true story!?.

However.
GT: Two in a Q. Rex.
And four others, two fem guawis,
and two PuMa Rex.
They hetched on Christmas. And an unplaned 7 days lightout was their initiation ritual to adulthood. Bout a week ago.
Going 11\13 now.
All are roughly the same, lstcropped some and topped others
Theyll have their 50 cm each and are pruned regularly. Growing now with full force and vigour,
Got very limited space, but been successfull on 3,5 x 1,8 ft and only 15o Watt MH ts1000.

I am totally aware that theese kind of plants have the potential to burst the ceiling, with full light. And light might be supported on a later stage of flower with vertical neon tubes.
The stems are massive- about 1,5 cm diameter on the top !!
The soil is organic compost, homegrown worms shit. With some bonemeal, fishblood, bat and horse gold.
container size: 10 to 16 l.
After sexing, males will be segregated,
--> then i might have 4 female plants in flower. perfect. The males will be reveged and pruned for a month or two and seeds might be made later.

Lets see, what happens next. 🐯🐯
Edit: photosession
GT and
The Happy Family

Gzuz. The sugar leaf exploded from 3 to 23 cm over night.
Do you know the fairytale Jack and the beanstalk!?
Theyve bean at the barbar, 48 hrs ago, thoughies.Theyre exploding.

Hello everyone! Well, I have started the harvest, I did not want to rush a few more days, the weather forecasts are not very good and these last few days ago they were quite cloudy with some fog and low temperatures at night and until morning, during the day we could reach 15 If the sun appears, the trichomes are mostly whitish. I hope for a good drying and curing!

Glad she managed to finish so well in your continental climate this harsh winter @Phrenos ;)
How were the terps in late flowering and now through the curing ?

She looks like she still needs 3 more weeks, but frost is forecast for next week. Can she survive below freezing night temps, or should I harvest early?

Sorry to catch up late @TimeP she can survive slight frosts, and although the tops were not ripe enough, lowers look quite advanced, and powder mildew spreading, so hopefully you didn't delay harvest much.

Beautiful outcome with your own backcross @Fennecfox :smoke: looks like you managed to keep the Golden Tiger sativa resinous flower structure in shorter flowering times and that you had the chance to play with some interesting terpene recombinations as well!

Very happy to see you repeating with Golden Tiger this outdoor season @jeezooz 🥰 much appreciated.
Hope they're rocking it in the guerrilla one month later!

Glad the effects are already epic, mind-blowing, laughter inducing, and trippy in waves! 🔥 Curing buds look dynamite. Glad you find it stronger than straight Malawi ....the Thai in the Tiger really adds complexity and trippiness!

Currently testing an indoor GT that was jarred 2.5 month ago.
I love the smell of the ground bud : mainly fenugreek with a touch of anise, and generally herbal (like a good herbal mix, not hay). Oily/musky background.
Effects are better than 2 month ago, with some slight psychedelic quality (according to how my thoughts are mixing and jumping around), but i'll wait for at least a 6 month cure before doing a proper vape report.

Pics at 10 weeks.

Very nice!! Did you chop her at ten weeks? 10 weeks seems very fast but in your close up shot you can clearly see plenty of amber and the majority are cloudy.

Great looking flowers 👍

Impressive trichomes on your GT after 10 weeks of flowering @Onuma Sativa :) glad you are already enjoying the harvest after a bit of curing, should improve a lot in effects and terpenes easily until half year of curing.
dubi .. i ain't doubting you and many others that a long cure adds to the effects...BUT... it has always been my feeling that weed fresh, dried and properly cured for a week or two/three is the way to go.. just one man's opinion....

2–3 weeks from harvest is too early for all types, as the buds still have too much moisture, chlorophyll and haven’t had the chance to fix properly their terpene profile. After 2–3 months, most modern Kushes are already great. In my experience, most sativas are better within the 3–6 month range (some users even prefer longer).

Kushes ime are only good for 1-3 months after harvest, a good sativa can be good after harvest after a month, 3 months is better and then up to two years remains good but 9-12 months seems most optimal for a longer term store before degradation starts to bring it down, 6-12 months is generally a sweet spot for me.
