Thai/Thai hybrids for 06

for the first half of 06 were startin lots of different Thai hybrids and a straight Thai from BG. been savin up beans from different sources.

so lets get started with whats cookin at present, this first set of plants originated with beans off Cbay, Dutch Flowers LemonThai F2s, offered by GS4M. lots of speculation as to this offerins validity, from the look of the plants, idunno, dont seem to be a straight thai to me visually.


6 of 10 made it, with 2 males(flowerin in another spot) talkin with santa on CW, he thought they might be a cross thats out there done with vics BnB and DFs lemon thai.



heres DFs description of there lemon thai offerin.........

Lemon Thai

was obtained from some folks out of Hawaii. The plants are sativa,
but they didnt look like Thai to us, rather Hawaiian in phenotype,
smell and high. Buds are candied with crystal, with a trademark
citrus "lemon pledge" odour with a hint of peppermint. Very, very
energetic high, it is the "clear mental surfing" variety for us,
without a hint of paranoia (which cannot be said of the other two
varieties in this pack). Chronic tokers can probably smoke this
during the day and get things done, if not overdone. These buds are a
favorite of many, as they are excellent positive-mood inducers.
Excellent yields and bag appeal as well, shortest flowering period of
the three offered, around 9 weeks." DutchFlowers



grower on CW that did this line(pheasent) was pretty happy with the plants, they yield huge and come out with the lemon flavor and aromas, so who knows, I just hope they turn out like Ps run as they looked great

PVT Lemon Thai

this next bunch of plants I was gifted to check out from a OGer. have been told this is a unspoiled Thai line, sourced in country. inbred line worked for generations.

6 of 10 plants made it, if anything this line has been worked as these plants are pretty close visually, and are extemely slow to veg, vigor is nonexistant.



one male, and four females, and one that hasnt sexed yet, past week they have started alternatin branchin. as you can see in the pics the male has autoflowered under 24/0, and is dumpin pollen all over the veg area. also culled one herm plant that showed nuts first, than hairs in preflower.

four of the females were real close in growth, with one a taller stretchy plant, that appears more thai in its fans then the others.






heres a better shot of the male and the tall female



these are all getin upcanned today, and topped cloned tomorrow, should be in the flower spot by next weekend, awaitin some room.

this cross was done by Rushman as far as I know, its a (lemon thai X choco thai X Panama red). again these beans were gifted, and plenty vigor here, lol and variety galore.


plants are all over in growth, few mutants early, but have straightened themselves out. 8 of 10 survivin plants, culled one due to it was barely a plant, and another due to bein a herm. so have six plants left, one still to sex, but appears female so far. not a male in the bunch. these plants are better than a week behind the pvt LT.









that phat leafed plant has my interest peaked some, as it sticks out like a sore thumb along side the others. sure looks like a bit of random pollen was floatin around when this line was produced. maybe some kinda anomoly within the line?

heres a shot of some bangkok bettys from BG, sprouts a few weeks in, outta 10 beans have nine plants up, had a set of twins, and a whorled plant in the bunch. so far so good


so thats whats up and runnin so far, have a few more packs to crack here before the end of march, good friend just hit me with a few thai Xs that will make the grow......thai X afghan#1, thai X chronic.

next to germ will be BGs Tw X thai, and F1s Thai X nevs haze. might get lucky and get hold of GKs 79thai, and a juicy fruit thai if lucky. be sweet.

anyway ya shake it, should get my fill of thai weed this year

be nice to see what i can expect from some of these plants, I know GK must have a bunch of killer pics of his Thai work. wouldnt mind hearin some on his line.

HELL Yes, been waiting for this thread and what do i come across today. Nice to see the thread up Sid and glad to see everything is going well. Boy, your going to be one happy grower at the end of all these Thai's. Really, looking forward to see all 9 of those Bangkok Betties. Nice to see a large number of them together. Also, been waiting on the Lemon Thai myself. Can't wait to see those going also. As for the Oriental Express (TW x Thai) Your going to be Super happy with those also. Glad your going to be running those soon also. Wondering on the germ rate myself. Capt Crip is running the Bangkok Betties now also and he's about to start some OE also. It's going to be great watching the both of you and compair plants. Really want to see if they are all the same or close. Well, Super nice to see the thread and i'll be sitting in the corner for sure.

hey BG, sorry for the look of the plants, sprouted in Black gold soil, and its a tad hot for seedlings, you can see in almost all the pics early on the plants were gettin to much food, bout the time they sex they finally get nice and green.

germination was 80% here, and the twin added the ninth plant. as for the difference in height, sprouted 5 at a time a week apart. otherwise a pretty tight group of plants.

from all I have heard, on all the thai crosses ya done, there real good smoke. im definitly lookin forward to the betties, and the OE. gratefuls OE looked great. damn nice plants

believe me bro, im very grateful for the beans, man after what i seen um goin for on seedbay, im double happy BG.

If you ever happen to come accross vietnam blackXG13 you will find one of the best thai strains ever. Leaves were the size of pumpkins and smoke was a garlic fruity
head banger.

Hey Sid, not a problem at all. I know how you like the good stuff and you'll be getting a bunch more seeds down the road. I just wish i had alot more to share with everyone else. I felt alittle bad about seedbay, but it was for a good cause. My books editing and printing. They did pull some crazy numbers, but i'm hoping to get out a few thousand seeds once i get back in action. Going to try to line up a month long special once i get back in action. Your plant are looking good and alittle burnt, but doing well. You should be very happy with them and I know you'll find a keeper in the bunch also. Well, I'm very grateful for you growing them out. I'll be around and watching.

been able to pull it off a few times so far, still learnin how to get these sallies to the end in decent shape.

I grew a Dalat one time indoors to about 10' or so in the same height restrictions. I put chicken wire 2' above her and totaly filled that in and then I ran chicken wire up the walls and trained her horizontaly she was somewhere around 10-11' after 7-8 months and went totaly hermie on me...that's happened twice to me. 8 months down the tubes.
I swore I'd never grow Dalat again unless I'm given a known good female. I still have some Dalat beans and Dalat crosses that will be going outside this summer.

first few times I feared the stretch with landraces, and flowered from sprout.

everything here, and the dalatX have all been vegged to maturity except the dalats which got 4 wks or so. by maturity I mean alternatin branchin, most times past presex.

im thinkin you need some veg time to get a decent rootball established for the plant to produce well. think that was alot of the reason the PR, lumbo and haze buds were so light.

Well it wouldn't be fair to judge a 20 week strain based on 3 months flowering, it was alright nothing special.
You get them Dalat x C99 beans from Marksurfs? I've tried that...it's good!
I haven't seen him since all the interent bullshit either hope he is all good.
