Run #3. Haze hybrids

They like the less light (no LED with red), so live and learn. Notice how the two end plants are leaning into the center where the blue bars are. I'll order and add another "T5".

DSC00766.JPG

I am watering pretty hard now and they love it, so they are making roots. I am gonna go ahead and make their 10 gallon soil bags and place them on the wick bed. That way they will have a home in a few daze.

Not possible to put T5s too close, closer the better, they grow short and wide. All you gotta do is make sure they don't grow into them errday.

Notice how I have my T5 hanging upside down and un-crossed the legs to allow angling it? The clear lid needs to come up over the plants and clear the light(s), so the distance is fixed. The beauty of the LED was it was chain hung, and I could move it out of the way to get the lid off. I'll figure out something.

Those little T5 lights are - like so much other stuff - getting kinda scarce. I have one coming.

With so much legalization, grow supplies are being bought up. Between elec cars and indoor grows, there won't be any juice left. Power lines all over are gonna be as flakey as Cali's.

This is the 3rd time trying to post this. When is the new SW coming online?

Haze vigor, Cindy poseurs. I can see which plants are going into the auto watering tent soon. 10 gallon soil bags are cooking now.

I think they are getting ready to move into the tent and go under 18/6 light.

NL5H KCH

KA5H BH

The root ball on the NL5 Haze is about how they all were, just starting to get bound. I had watered them what I thought was a lot, and it was still too dry. Note to self - drench cups.

The soil was amended just before putting in the bags, and I hope it doesn't start cooking with the worms and roots in there. I am about to drench it with the inoculation. There is almost 2 inches for more soil when they stretch.

They have acclimated to their new home as they bask in 250 umoles 16/8. Pinch time I suppose. These look like the hybrids I have run already - so far. The KA5H shown here has the best vigor as of now, by a nose, bit the others are very close. Those back-up Cindy poseurs are not even close, and will be given away... Cover clover is starting to come up. Good start IMO. I need IPM now.

The stink in the tent from the fungus and microbes tells me the soil is working. So does this (soil is pH over 7):

Beauty!Too early to decide on what to give away and what to keep IMO. Vigor is not the only criteria... just saying. Also a lot of things might go wrong, good to have a backup if the space is there,
Leaves will get more slender as they mature, and is not a sure indicator of effects anyway.

Maybe it's the LED spectrum on the E680s, but these plants are acting like the other indica hybrids I had. So far... I gave them all their first pinch, incl the "cindrella99". Cover clover is coming up.

Click image for larger version Name:	DSC00790.JPG Views:	0 Size:	282.4 KB ID:	17903835 Here is the KA5H, most vigorous of thr Haze Hybrids, by a nose

Click image for larger version Name:	DSC00790.JPG Views:	0 Size:	282.4 KB ID:	17903835 I am not complaining about the short bushiness, as height will come.

I seem to have inadvertently broken the code on keeping Haze plants low and squat. KA5H is no longer the most vigorous, ever since up-potting. I must have grabbed some soil from the wrong spot in the bin, or who knows? Maybe it didn't like being pinched, or was FIM'd.

Click image for larger version Name:	DSC00811.JPG Views:	15 Size:	260.7 KB ID:	17907297 KA5H

The others are doing well. The poseurs are smaller still, maybe due to the genetics. They weren't in breeder paks. Cinderella 99 is ready to step in if needed.

Cruisin long. Plants still look like indicas. NL5H is thriving. I will probably up-pot the cindys and put them in the other tent when the run there finishes.

DSC00841.JPG

I think the KA5H didn't like the soil I up-potted it into (too hot). We'll see what happens.

Looks like I am a master of making hashplants. Soil, lights, what is the problem???

These two at least look like they want to stretch. KCH in back, "C99" in the small pot:

Things are chuggling long, but the KA5H is still not happy. The two back-up plants (C99 and Cinderella 99) are doing well and want bigger pots. I don't have anywhere to put them right now except outside. When the other tent finishes in a week or so they could go in there. We'll see.

Despite the soil issues, I am hanging with KA5H and not replacing it with a cindy. Things seem to be chugging long. Lights at 15/9 right now, and going down in hours.

Click image for larger version Name:	DSC00864.JPG Views:	1 Size:	255.7 KB ID:	17915710

The two cindys are doing fine, and I suppose I will put them in 10 gallon bags today. The person I am trying to offload these onto (free) seems happy to get free jars and not free plants. That's coming to an end. He still hasn't set-up his tent. I may just keep these in here and finish them while I experiment with the remains of the Strawberry sisters from run #2 in back.

Lights have been reduced to 12/12, plants basking under 600 umoles. Soil is sparking strong.

Edit 8/16: Stretching like weeds, even the KA5H. I had to raise the lights and turned them back to 11:45 ON.

The Haze hybrids are all doing well in the big tent. No idea why the leaves are fat, but it's making plenty of them. KA5H in the front left is the smallest. Bangi Haze front right, Sensi NL5 Haze left rear, Kali China Haze right rear.

Click image for larger version Name:	DSC00876.JPG Views:	17 Size:	245.8 KB ID:	17921210 The FLGH fat leaf phenos...

Edit:
DSC00880.JPG
These sure don't look like the other Haze hybrids I see.

As for the cindys, they sit unloved and alone in the other tent, waiting to be taken away. Like runt puppies at the dawg pound. Only difference is the 7 gallon bags, and maybe some soil amendments like kelp and alfalfa that I didn't put in. They look healthy, but small.

Things are chugging long at 12/12 and about 750 umoles at the center tops. 9 leaves per, but they are fat. They don't seem to be drinking as much as other plants I have run.

The Sensi NL5H is flowering...

Click image for larger version Name:	DSC00884.JPG Views:	31 Size:	255.2 KB ID:	17924971

The other 3 Ace plants are making fine hairs at the nodes, like this on Kali China...

Click image for larger version Name:	DSC00884.JPG Views:	31 Size:	255.2 KB ID:	17924971

Got rid of the cindys, Now I can start a Haze run and see if I can make those into fat leaf bushes also.

The lights are up about as high as they will go in my 8 foot tall tent. The Ace plants are still stretching. They have about 2 1/2 feet to stretch before they touch the lights.

Click image for larger version Name:	DSC00902.JPG Views:	0 Size:	293.0 KB ID:	17926405

A tent full of plants... no light gets through to the soil and cover crop. The inside of the tent is smelling pretty good now. All the plants have pleasant stem rubs. They are still fat leafers.

What is your temp in there? Being it's summer here I'm sure it's plenty warm? The reason I ask is I've observed wider/fatter leaves when my room is cold. Just a thought. But I'm doubting it's cold...
