Ive thought about trying to build one before. Its basically just a soundproof tank full of warm salt-water right?

have you ever heard of a swimming pool?
its way diff
water and environment is kept at 98.6Fish (no noticeable diff in temps from air and water and the body)
and the water is saturated with Epsom salts so you float like a cork in it
not table salt

and what's the point of these floatation tanks?
there are also known as "sensory deprivation tanks"
they deprive you off your senses
hearing, touch (this is the point of uniform temperatures and all the epsom salt so you float and dont touch anything else but water), sight (i dont know if it smells funky in there, but you could for sure taste the water though lol)
some people report out of body experiences or great meditational experiences
