What is the difference between old school skunks and Chemdog d?

I personally am not old enough to have seen the skunks of the 60's and 70's but some people say that the Chemdog smell is like the smell of the old school skunks. Is this true? I'm asking because I have a really old friend that says that Chemdog smells nothing like the old school skunks in any way. Any knowledgeable old school people here with experience on this subject?

I wouldn't put much stock into whoever is telling you this. They must have never grown the D or a really skunk smelling plant. There's no skunk spray smell to the D. It's foul, rancid funk which some do associate with 'skunk bud' but it's not a real skunk smell.

The Sister is a lot skunkier than the D, even though they are similar in smell. But still not the smell of a skunk's ass spray.

Grow some CDSD seeds if you got em. There are some real skunk smelling ladies in them.

I've heard people have had success with OGChem for finding skunk smells.

& Tom Hill's N. Indian is supposed to have strong skunk odors in the line. Not released yet but sounds like it's worth a couple packs to go hunting.
