Mr Cerrvantes I tied down two of my plants today. I used wax dental floss. On the first try me and my buddy used a string that was to thick and we completly broke off the fourth node. The strain is Maul Sour Dawg is there anything I should do. I also tied down the katsu bubba. I FIMed her and tied her down real smooth like. I would be honored if you kept tabs on my grow and helped me along. C/R high

you are right and i should, i am an avid reader. I'm trying to be high-tech and learn on the internet from experanced people from all over the world. This web site and the bits of advice i recieve from the community are all part of my first timer experance. I know alot of people who have read books and grown good weed. However none of them have ever grown top shelf weed. Alot of people here have grown top shelf, top notch, perfect 10, grade A pot. So I am attempting to use this web site as my book. The thing is this though I have a very short attention span. So if I can take a pic of my actual plant and get advice on what i should do to each, i find that much more valuable then general knowldge gained from a book...high

I would like to point out that I have seen top shelf weed grown by a beginner using no other resource that Mr Cervantes' book.Basic organic gardening knowledge was acquired from the book,the rest came down to the money spent on top shelf genetics.It was Green House Lemon Skunk and DNA LA Confidential.Some of the best weed I've even smoked,and I'm a Canadian who has smoked many world renowned strains grown by master organic growers from BC.Not saying this forum isn't great,I'm a huge fan,but IMO one can never read too much credible info on growing,I have a small library of grow books and am always happy to add to it.Here is a quote from Jorge himself...

Whoa whoa whoa let's stop right there. First of all, I'm even honored you answered this post/thread. I believe you are a legend in this world and that's not kissing your ass.

Secondly, I own all the editions of your work. When I didn't have it handy (I was in a friend's house), I showed him the book on amazon and then we noticed a Google Books link. ALMOST EVERY PAGE WAS AVAILABLE!!

I would advise people to buy your excellent book anytime, anyday. But if they don't have the means to and need some top-shelf expert advice, then I see nothing wrong with me telling someone to look up your advice on Gbooks.

But anyways, I am completely honored you even answered this. All of my grower buddies love you and so do I. I BOUGHT all 3 of your Ultimate Grow DVDs so don't think I'm taking you're hard-earned knowledge for free.

And by basic knowledge I mean things like how to clone, top, etc. that are the very essentials of growing bud. Like I said, this was an honor to even have you respond to me, even if for the wrong reasons. I don't want bad blood between us senor.

nice job, you break a few plants or hurt them but then you go clones or a little tape and ur good. Get rid of that dental floss ur gonna cut ur plants down if its windy, try yarn or the long rolls of twist ties available in garden centers.

And at jorge- thank you for finally coming out .
But really you need to get another book out the techniques are getting better. Perhaps a section on Fpe's and aerated teas? ur book was good i just found it lacking. From another author im proud to say ur work has been a inspiration but i always plan to pass my hero's work with my own. Till then keep doing ur thing you helped start a revolution.

try tying a looser knot around the plant...it looks like you got it a bit too tight...it will choke her off and/or break her that way.

sorry for not keeping up with the grow. but i must say everything seems to be doing great. heres the recap: Katsu Bubba (FIMed) and U.K Cheese (not topped at all) both tied down, were put into pots with a recipe i got (off this site of course), some peralite, earthworm casting, dolamite lime they seem to like it. Both are budding nicely and pics will be up soon. Maui Sour Dawg was tied down and had a node broken off the top and has grown into a huge canopy, this one is buding slower then the others. LA Confidental i didnt do any thing to her and she has grown into a nice christmas tree full of nuggys, i cant wait to post up some pics of her. and last but not least sour grapes has fullyrecovered from her hard childhood and blossomed into quite an actractive young lady. my wife should be sending the pics tomorrow ill post them up around 3pm pacific time...high
