i use ffof straight up and have had no issues, even with seedlings...People say they have had problems with it being hot, but I have not encoutered it personally in about 5 years of growing my own...i've grown many diffrent strains in it...I love this stuff!!
anybody else got there own opinion and strains????????
I definitly think you will be fine!! i thought the same thing on my 1st ffof straight soil grow....I have not looked back since!! Take a deep breath!!!....lol I would definitly wait until feeding them though, at least 2 weeks!!!!!
Haha...very nice Doobie and agree. I see the REv is rubbing off on you. A bit of a shame no one else picked up on this after you posted. The deal with ocean forest is that it can be too hot for seedlings depending on the buffering abilities of your water source. If using R/O or distilled, You might want to add the perlite as mentioned, and also add 1/2 tablespoon of bone meal or dolomite per gallon of soil mix to help buffer. You can also use bottled spring water for the first few waterings for its high buffering abilities.

peace!!
First off why only 1-2 weeks in those 16 oz cups? Second that RO water has NO buffering ability and that's a bit of what Doobie was saying earlier. You gotta take into consideration the potential buffering capability of your water source....which RO has none. You build your soils buffering ability/capacity ie 'formula' based on your water.
