From the info breeders have posted it seems that Deep Purple (Purple Urkle x a Purple Qurkle male(Purple Urkle x Space Queen) is the closest strain to Purple Urkle. Is there any other strain availible is seed that is closer to Purple Urkle?

there is a couple urkle crosses out there...
I have 5 Deep Purple females from seed right now. 3 are on day 30 of flower, and 2 are waiting to be flowered. All 5 look identical right now, and one of the ones in flower has a very intense sour grape smell. I will report back with how much they resemble the original Urkle
I also have the original Purple Urkle clone. I love the PU so much, I had to try the Deep Purple

there is a Purple Urkle S1 out there.... seen it, outta stock though....

I loved Purple Wreck so much I wanted the pure PU... But reading up about here, in some ways a Hybrid may be better. CSG's Grandoggy Purple looks like it should be a nice cross too.

From what I understand, Urkel was crossed with Pacific Northwest Big Bud to make GDP. People these days try to make some weird fucking claims about urkel, grape ape, and gdp. They arent the same.
Oh, and has anybody watch Ken Estes in interviews talk about how he brought about GDP? Its a fucking joke! It doesnt even coincide with the timeline of when I first saw the GDP.

ive not tried many but the querkle we were running is heavy urkle dom, there is some gems in there for sure
I would say that a Purple Urkle hybrid will be better than the original or even a bx due to it growing so slow... A bx may be the worst option (deep purple). Mosca's Urkle x OTM could be the best bet as it sounds like the OTM and Urkle share similar qualities.

So, PU is the original, the low yielding, extreme hit and flavour that should make a great breeding plant.
Using OTM for a cross sounds good, as does ChemD and the Trainwreck cross "PurpleWreck" I tried last year. That had a madly early Outdoor flowering BTW, done 2 or 3 weeks before anything else in 2 different locations. Great flavour and high, top quality.

Exactly! There are a some Purple Wreck cuts I have seen go around here in Northern California. Not so much these days though. I grew an Urkel SourDiesel cross that was phenomenal. Urkel seems to spice up any strain. Just look at that Nancy Botwin(Yum!) Finding something that comes out like a similar representation of urkel will be tough though! That smooth lavender/sweet taste and ultra clean, but very present high are hard to replicate. Good luck on your quest.
