This subject brings up a few questions in my head.

Does the landlord need to know?

Can a landlord have on the lease/rental agreement that no medicine or growing medicine on premises?

Would you really want to let the landlord or others know you are growing even if it is legal or not even if they advertise 215 allowed? Wouldn't that be the fastest way to get robbed or located?

--

I used to have band practice up in santa cruz and it is a great place, great to grow as well but pricey. How large are you looking for? Amount of rooms versus sqft rules the pricing game in areas like that for sure.

Only thing I would ask a possible landlord is how often inspections or entry into the place is needed per year WITHOUT sounded like a crazy. Some places leave you the fuck alone and others try and come in once a month. I can't stand people coming into my home whether I am growing or not. It just feels wrong to me.

It's not like the banks come and check the place out if you bought the place so why do landlords feel they get free roaming access?

Good luck on the move, I think santa cruz will end up paying off versus humbolt. The amount of growers in both areas however is pretty high BUT man imagine the clones you will have access to.

Yes in the renters agreement it can include a no growing inside policy, or outside for that matter. You are going to have to shop around or live in the ghetto or boondocks is my guess. I did some pricing in Humboldt about a month ago and everything advertised was outrageously priced. I am sure I could just go to the local diner out in the middle of nowhere and find someone with a one room cottage and a parcel of land to rent but its a hard thing to pick up and move out there not knowing where you will be living. Good luck man. Maybe next year you can give me the heads up on a place or two

I'm looking for a new place up there too... Humboldt is def. Cheaper out in mckinleyville or eureka, fuck arcata too expensive and full of growers already.
Santa cruz is expensive as hell too but it's a kickass place and it's not as out there as humboldt... I love being able to head to SF&oakland to get away or do something fun. Expect to pay $1500-1800 for a nice 2BR. I wouldn't want my landlord to know regardless though man...wayyyyy sketchy.
