Hello dedicated ICM Growers and Breeders...


For the last several years I have been holding the IC MAG 4/20 Growers and Breeders Cup in Amsterdam without any real problems at all...

Since it looks like in recent years there has been a trend towards a more tolerant attitude regarding cannabis in California do any of you think that it might be a good idea to hold such an event in California next year?

I would like to have your honest feedback and comments on this idea and if you think that it would be a good idea would you be interested in attending or entering such a flower show?

What would be the best way to go about setting such an event up and where?

How could we do it without compromising anyone's security and at the same time keeping it as legal as is possible?

well....that being said......Cali iz way more open and free....regarding the mmj
BUT even when the big expo waz in LA.......Greenhouse had a booth BUT WOULD NOT SELL BEANZ............so there R still stricked lawz......and guidlinez.....

BUT.........gypsy......U sure would have a BIGGER pull and showing from U'r USA custumer base.......which I'm sure is strong and well spent.......

maybe Seatttle or Vancouver BC........Seattle HEMPFEST is VERY VERY BIG and WELL received and acceptted..........

and they dont call vancouver........VANSTERDAM for nuthang........

There are many cannabis friendly venues in the Bay area...as well as the LA area.

I recommend the bay area. You can get a LOT of support for an event here from dispensaries & other cannabizes too...

Ya, take it back to North America where a lot of the seed strains came from.

Security would be a problem in America though. Most people would not go. Remember in America the cops follow you from the Hydro store.

maybe even a closed PRIVATEly held place of the grid.....and under NO
scrutiny from local LEO...........
maybe even member ONLY....attendance w/ secret places and partiez......

would be the safest way...........

Years ago I went to the Northern California Growers Association Cup in Sonoma California......it was by invite only in a very large private house with a pool......The event had good catering a couple of live bands and a good time was had by all.....it all went without a hitch....

Just wondering if we could pull off an event such as this without attracting the wrong sort of attention......?

Since a vast proportion of ICM growers/members are stateside I would expect that we would have alot more entries than the usual 30 or so that we have been getting on average in Amsterdam these last years and it would probably be much easier for those entering and attending to get to....

Mind you it may upset alot of our regular European attendees.....although some of them might like to come out to California...

Skip can you look into it and check out how we might be able to do this without putting anyone at risk?

Gypsy, there are half a dozen or more grow cups in CA each year already. There are conventions like the THC expo coming up at the LA CONVENTION CENTER! http://www.thcexpo.com/

What is everyone paranoid about? You're not gonna get arrested for smoking pot in Cali unless you do it in a non-smoking area.

Of course it's best if you are a medical mj user, which might be difficult for those who reside in non mmj states.

But my guess is attendance would double, triple or quadruple if the event is held in CA.

Here's a really good venue. We had the Marijuana Film Festival here, and there's accommodation here too. A bit out in the middle of nowhere though, so you'd have to keep everyone entertained...

You can do it at my house. Of course I'll have to clear it with the wife first...
Oakland airport is no longer checking for mj which might make it favorable. Bay area for sure, though down south would make me happy.
There could still be complications. Only Californians would be legal and sharing "meds" is not allowed.
Saratoga Springs would be good for me. Then my house for a beer.

you must not be familiar with events like "reggae rising" aka reggae on the river.
its like a free for all, any drug you can imagine is being done there in copious amounts. usually one or two people DIE a year from OD or drug related accidents. this event has been going on for years and the law hasnt done anything to stop it! its a come one come all type event too. sheer lawlessness.

i dont think there would be any problems with a growers comp, however it was arranged.

this is a real cool thought cali is bomb!! But i would wait one more year!! It looks like in one year the situation would be even better!! also the point that cali has already a lot of cups is a point to thought about!!
a good point is the qualitiy as well!! a lot of AAAA grad is to found!! But on the other hand imported hash would be very rare!! Also i do not know if eu guy and girls would be able to sent in entries!!
