I would say it really depends on what you have to cover the use....

Install a sauna/hot tub/kiln....any of those would give you an excuse to use plenty of juice.
Eliminate use of the stove, and there's 40 amps more. Hot water tank is another.

Using a switching system to run 2 hoods of of one ballast (on alternating 12/12 cycles) also can help, as it eliminates the power spike timing detecable by smart meters these days.

your hot water is a big deal if its electric.. around here we use outdoor wood furnaces which heats hotwater + your house

a place around here just got busted because he used 52kwh for 3 months hahah and then back down to 28kwh after that.. and that raised a flag

If you have the option, the safest way to hide yer use is always a generator....either for all the grow, or to supplement and keep the metered stuff lower.

A good diesel generator converted to run recycled fryer oil would cost fuck all to run...and would smell like fries!

the most i would ever comfortably be able to do is 5k......so that means like 6 (600) watts, a 400 for veg, and another 1k buffer for my TV and other appliances...my tv and computers alone run close to 2k watts...

The electric company doesn't know or care what else you have going on until they have some reason to....
They don't know or care how big your place is, if you have central air, a hot tub, or a heated/cooled garage in the back..whatever.

So I wouldn't go overboard, but I wouldn't worry about going a decent bit over the 1k per bedroom mark mentioned before....save money on other areas if it makes you feel better but I wouldn't worry (about the electric company) until you've got some pretty big wattage going....

Here in the USA, they don't monitor power like they do in Canada. I have had 1100.00 bills followed by a 60.00 month. Nobody seems to care, or turns info over to the law.

As long as you pay them, they don't care. It's when you start stealing power that the companies start to care. The rule of thumb is 1k per bedroom in the house. Yes you can run all 3k watts in 1 room if a 3BR house. Stick to this rule, pay your bill on time every time and you shouldn't have a problem. If I ever got busted and found out the power company ratted on me, I'd sue them for all the money I have been paying them for that power. :joint:
