First Grow -1000w- Lavender + ChemHazeDiesel + Citral + Ice

This is my first grow, and I am trying out Soma's Lavender, along with Reservoir Seeds ChemHazeDiesel, Nirvana's Citral and Ice! Wish me Luck!!

This is the tenth day of an 18/6 schedule. I am having some small problems with heat but the issue should be fixed within a couple hours.. I am growing in Botanicare ReadyGro Coco Mix using the Botanicare Nutrient Line.

I have two 465 cfm fans for intake and outtake, Including fresh air intake through the light, and into the enclosure as well for added c02 and temperature control

I plan to transplant the seedlings into 5 gallon containers as soon as they are large enough.

There is perhaps a leaf deformity with the ChemHazeDiesel I think. You can see the ChemHazeDiesel in the second photo down, along with the 4th and 5th photo down. Could this be cause by overheating? I have had some issues with that but actually resolved that after taking these photos.

Is there any issues that any of you can spot?

Thanks for checking this out!

Day 11

Day 11

This is day eleven of the 18/6 schedule. I noticed that some roots are visible on the bottom of most of the planters. Is it necessary to transplant them into bigger containers? I am also wondering if it is extra difficult to transplant when using a coco growing medium such as Botanicare's ReadyGro.

I have reduced the temperature a few degrees to around 79-80 degrees Fahrenheit with lights on. The temp seems to be stable at this point.

I hope you enjoy the pics!

Day 13

Day 13

This is day 13 of 18/6 lighting schedule. I am thinking that I will need to transplant most of the plants soon because a moderate amount of roots are visable on the bottom of each planter. Any suggestions on that?

The plants seem to look healthy but I may be having some issues with PH, so I am going to purchase a meter.

Today I fed my babies with a little less than the recommended nutes from the soil grow schedule from Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow. Liquid Karma, Cal Mag, and Pure Blend Pro Grow.

They look nice!

looking good. some comments, i'd give them 20/4 light schedule, i believe it to be better, some sensitive strains don't like too much of dark period in veg. i'd transplant them in a few days when the moon's right for transplanting, say tuesday. and yeah the ph-meter is a good purchase i use it all the time.

interesting strains and they seem to be in good hands, take care!

Thanks for the comments. I will consider switching to a 20/4 schedule, after I transplant and such. I am a bit concerned about the PH at the moment. I believe that is my top priority until I get that situated.

I will have more updates soon...

Thanks for all the kind words!

Two Weeks

Two Weeks

Yesterday was the two week Mark and my plants all seem to be quite healthy. I bought a PH testing kit and my Tap water is in the perfect range, 6.5'ish. I did a runoff test today after watering with only water, and that was also in the correct range. I am wondering what may be causing the yellowing of a plant or two...

I also lowered the light about a foot today, preparing for a transplant and full on veg.

What do you guys think?

Thanks for checking my grow out!

Looking real good, Cannaiseur!
I'm a bit old skewl..but I never worry too much about yellowing leaves in the veg. The nutrient regimen you have chosen is hard to beat, and sometimes first leaves will yellow a bit no matter what you do. Can be a soil thing, or even a bit of LST stress can bring yellow lower leaves. Problem starts when folks try to fix these problems. Best just to stick to your program and let things take their course. If any drastic action is needed, they will let you know and there will be no doubt that you need to do something.
There are plenty of nitrates in the PBPgrow, so I wouldn't change anything at all. Other than you could simply back off the nutes for a water or two. I know that sounds counterproductive to what you may be seeing, but sometimes it is the best way to go if you are looking for picture perfect plants.
But, we don't smoke pictures...well, most of us don't...and a few hosed leaves never hurt any grow at all.
Keep up the good work, and if I were to give any more advise it would be...your tap is fine so I wouldn't obscess over pH, and you have some of the best genetics known to man and they will pretty much take care of themselves if you keep their environment in good shape. Light and temps are what to keep your eye on. As both can cause you more problems than a few leaves out of sorts.

Grow on!

Thanks for the words hoosierdaddy! That puts me at ease a bit, but I still definitely need to keep a close eye on the Temps. I agree with you on the Tap water, it seems to be absolutely fine. I fed with no nutes last night so I will be checking to see if I can see any difference in the color of the plants.

I have been reading root balls like to form in coco, So I will be transplanting them into one Gallon containers tonight. I am hoping to prevent any unnecessary issues with that.

Thanks for the tips, I greatly appreciate them!

Peace

Day 15

Day 15

This is day 15 of the 18/6 schedule. I transplanted into one gallon containers today, and it went off really smoothly. I held off on the nutes again when watering after transplanting. I also lowered the hood about ten more inches to promote faster growth now that I have transplanted.

Everything seems to be going good, although I am still noticing the yellowing of two plants.. I will have a more detailed update this evening.

Day 17

Day 17

This is day 17 of 18/6 schedule. The temps are getting a bit high, and is causing a little concern. I also noticed burns of some kind on two of the plants. I have fed the plants with the recommended nutes off the PBP schedule and they really exploded over night. They look mostly healthy and I am pretty much satisfied with everything.

Enjoy the pics and thanks for looking!

The grow room is getting really hot during the day. I am going to have to buy a portable air conditioner most likely. I have tried several different things to remove the heat. I have moved around the fans and blowers to several different places and still barely any difference is noticeable.

It has been in the low 90's to low 80's for the last two days, Can that be detrimental to my plants? I am going to try and solve this problem asap!

I really hope my plants can cope with the heat.

thanks for checking my grow out.

yeah man that's too high, 90's will kill the plants easy. buy a portable ac and a plug in thermostat = problem solved!

The temps are a bit high I agree but from the pics it seems to me that those "burns" were not caused by heat.... but maybe im wrong.

Day 23

Day 23

The temps in the room are more stable and in the low 80's during the day and at night it seems to drop and stay at 78 degrees.

The plants seemed like they were burned from nutes so I avoided feeding for a few days. I fed today with a weakened dosage, as I am hoping to prevent burns.

The plants are exploding and showing signs of rapid growth lately. They are really starting to stink already as well! I'm loving the aromas they put off.

Any recommendations or comments are encouraged!
