Yes you should be fine until about the 2nd week of May after that the outside light will grow to long for the plants to keep on flowering without you bringing them inside at night

Check ya local sun rise and sun set to make sure you are still under 14 hours of light and ya are good to go until ya get a new bulb :)

awesome thread. i just read all of it. i have only grown outdoors once and it was on my porch in the midwest, only a couple of plants. i am now living in the high country, at 39N and 8200+ feet in elevation. in the mountains. I have about 20 plants vegging indoors (started in early april) and i want to sex them and bring about 5 of these 2-foot ladies out to a spot via off-road vehicle or bicycle, and i want to do this soon. Any advice for growing in the high altitude mountain climate of the rocky mountains?

i have a spot that only gets direct sunlight from about 2-3pm until sunset... would it be possible to yield anything worth putting out? even auto-flowering strains ...

it's not too late for a small outdoor grow at 48 latitude is it?

anywhere over 5 hours of direct sunlight will give ya plenty to harvest but nugs will be a bit fluffier as to where a spot with 8 + hours is and also it is not to late to plan until around Mid to Late July

Hey Pure, I think this thread is exactly what I was looking for. I'm at about 36 degrees, and I found this calculator online: Calculator

My question is.. It says flowering starts around Aug 21 and ends around Nov 26. Is that right? It gets pretty cold in November around here and it just doesn't seem like that would be very good growing conditions..

Any help is appreciated!

Yep jus remember to find ya first and last frost dates and that will really tell ya when to start and when to have all the nuggets inside ya house before the frost kills them

For example I start my plants in January by taking clones to make several mothers and veg them until April and then starting snipping clones off them mothers and rooting them so therefore they can be put outside by May 5th to harden off for 7 to 10days then move them to the outdoor plots to be put in the ground

From May 15th we will say thru July 31st my plants are in full veg mode and doing there damn thing but as you should notice they start grow 2 or 3times faster after the soltice (June 21st), Genereally somewhere between End of July n mid August ya will see ya plants throwing off pistils, and by the end of Aug ya plants should be in full budding mode ( some are faster then others ), but by end of Sept ya plants should be either finishing up or have 2 or 3 weeks left in thre lives then ya harvest them

If ya have earlier genetics then most likely they will be done anywhere from Early Sept to End of Sept, the best way to actually know when to pull ya plants is by looking at the buds under a Jewelery Loupe or a Microscope

i've tryed my first outdoor this year... it came good, my flowers did look that they will give me about a kilo or two of stash (on 8 girls), but thiefs were faster :( so now i have only my last one durban, which was in a greenhouse... its drying right ow and smells hell good, so i hope that the quality of survivor should be satisfying enough :)

i hope that next year i'll join all these tasty looking galleries and wont feel shame :)

PureSativa420 im at 44.9 latitude... Frost comes in sept (NO DOUGHT!) I was wondering if i could pre veg my plants indoors have have them about 3-5 incehs by the 1st week in may to go outdoor. How much light (Hrs) should i give them so they dont start to pre-flower when i put them out there? And is 3-5 inches too small or too big? And is the 1st week in may a good start for transplant outdoor? Thanks

Buddy id start ya plants about 2 to 3 weeks prior to going outdoors personally, so they can begin to outgrow the weeds surrounding them

Also id start them around 14 to 16 hours of light before putting outside and also remember to harden ya plants off by introducing them to the sun slowly over a weeks time so they do not end up cooking under the sun

And do you know any sites right nowthat ship to the US that have any auto flowering seeds? Like Guerilla Gold or some Lowrider? Cant find any on Seedbay.com and Seedboutique.com Also what strains do you recommend for growing in the city of 10k lakes?
