Sunhut XL users Need Feedback.....

hello ICER's,

im thinking about buying a sunhut XL for a small enclosure for mom's & veg spot.

so im looking for growers that have used the sunhut XL for either vegging or flowering......

how well u think it works? how well it keeps light in? how hot do they get?

any in fo would be awesome....

also what size lights ur using..... i really need some kind of separate veg area so i can keep stuff really for flowering.

Be super careful ... Sunhut, like Hydro Hut is made in the same Chinese factory ... and of the same " toxic plastic " that is harmful to your plants.

Hydro Hut admitted their problem, and discontinued their product line that was made of plastic .. was pretty much out of business for most of a year ... and will have 2 new line ups of tents that are NOT made of plastic available very soon

If your buying Sun Hut ... check first to make sure it is not made of plastic

Darkroom, and Growbox make similar products that are not affected with Toxic Plastic ... or wait just a bit more for Hydro Hut to announce and release their new products that have been reworked and are said to be better than all the rest

Tents come in various sizes ... They are designed to be light tight .. you can use floro's and/or T5 for vegg and Mom .. I suggest adding both circulating and fans exhaust fans

As long as you dont have a tent made of plastic - they work great

so sundance, the sunhut's are no good b/c of that plastic thing... glad i posted b4 just buying one...

can the hut's handle MH lights???? like a 250w im guessing id put in there???

100% right about adding circulating and fans exhaust fans.

awesome Smokerman..... yea i cant wait to have my closet just for flowering & a really nice spot for a mom & clones vegging....

u think i could fit maybe 2 mom's & still have room for clones????

There are plenty of models easy to find a supplier just google the model you want after you find it on this site http://www.secretjardin.com/ (They dont sell)

Tents come in various sizes ... and if you buy one large enough .. and configured correctly ... you can certainly vegg and keep mothers in the same tent ... and use flouro, and/or T5 ... you can also run 250 MH, or greater with zero problems

Keep ventilated .. and watch temps

Word I hear is that the new, improved Hydro Huts tents will be out in about 3 weeks .. give or take a little time, depending on shipping

Keep checking the website for news of these products and their release

thanks for ur input SDOG.. i thinking about one thats maybe 4'x4'. should make a great veg area... but those two huts together looks nice. but dont they sell a 4'X8' hut??

Sundance uve been great. thanks for all ur advice... think i can wait 3 weeks. since i just put 25 seeds into some water...

it would be cool to see some pic's of ppls huts in action...

Here is a bit more for ya

At this moment, and while I am writing this - there are only 2 brands of tents you can buy that wont be affected by toxic plastic ... Homebox, and Darkroom by Secret Jardin - I would not buy either .. here is why

In a very short time .. about 3 weeks, give or take a bit ... Hydro Hut ... who was the industry leader before this toxic plastic shit started ... will be out with their new line up of tents .. they will be sized as before ... will be made better than before ... and will be made better than Darkroom

Hydro Hut will be using better, thicker, light proof materials .. and has also improved the design of their tents ... I am sure they are going to be kick ass ... and that it wont take long after the new tents are released for Hydro Hut to quickly reclaim, and become the industry leader once again

Hydro Hut was also recently granted a patent for this product - competitors may have a serious litigious problem ahead, besides those already rocked with a toxic plastic problem of their own

The toxic plastic nightmare is nearly over - It was really tough for everyone, especially Evan at Hydro Hut

Great respect, and a big up to Evan who stood strong in the worst and the thick of it, always stood behind his product, redesigned new and better products, who always said he will make his customers whole again at is own expense, and for being a gentleman throughout - I will always go out of my way to support a guy like this - besides ... he makes a great product

GG - Hydro Hut makes a 4x4 and a 4x8 as well

For flowering - I run a 600 HPS and 400 MH/HPS in one air cooled hood inside a 3x3 Hydro Hut with no heat problems

Sundance ur the man. thanks for the up coming revised hydro hut info.......

wooow we running the same kinda flowering setup..... but im a closet grower, looking for the hut for a vegging area. so i can keep the cycle going better......

running a dual ballast 600w HPS & 400w MH.. love the light. my nugs have gotten some much more dense since using all 1000w of lighting....

I know your going to need the Hut soon ... and timing for the new Hydro Huts to arrive will be close for you, and your needs

If your interested in the new Hydro Hut Tents - best thing to do is contact the company directly, and ask when the new tents will arrive ? ... and where you can buy one - NOW

Otherwise, because of your needs and time constraint - you may need to go Darkroom or Homebox

I will be thrilled to have my new - NEW Hydro Hut tent skins .. after they arrive ... its off to the races

I love my flowering set up with dual spectrum - for me, I think its the best way to go ... Excellent to hear your running the same and are happy as well - just got to circulate air and watch the temps - not a problem with my set up

Got a sun hut 4'X4' but its more like 4 1/4' , Real nice and pretty heavy duty with silver lining on the inside.
