Coco in smart pots?

I'm currently growing in soil in a DR120 tent and thinking of making a move over to coco.
Just wondering what's coco like in smart pots? Will plants grow huge in 19.3L or 26L pots? I was thinking of hand watering so will this be a pain in the ass doing with these big pots?

I use #2 smart pots with coco and love it. My USD are only 3 weeks into 12/12 and they have almost tripled in size. From top of coco to top of plant is between 36-40 inches, with an anticipated 10-12 more inches in the next 10 days.
From what I have read, larger isn't necessarily better. Check the latest USD update in my thread and you will see what #2s are capable of.
Hand watering is becoming a pain in the ass, and I need to either do drippers, or blumats asap...

some say you don't need more than 6.5L and the secret is consistent watering and run off. just two 3 gallons were overgrowing my 3x3 tent. im going to get 3L airpots for now.

Yeah I thought big ones were bit over sized.
Been looking into those blumats. Not sure which ones to get or where yet but the maxi blumats seem the best.

What's a zip? A ounce?
Yes. Oz = zip, nada, zilch...
Here is an example of root pruning. This was after 10 days in veg, and only 7 days into flower...

I have a few in "root pots", but even 3 weeks in, no root pruning. Smart pots ftw!

Thanks for explaining.
I read somewhere that "root pots" were better than smart pots but there hard to find over here in England.
I'm not too sure if I want to go with smart pots or air pots with coco.

I have 10 plants in "root pots", and not a single one has roots popping out the side, not a single root... I won't be buying them again, only reason I did, was they were out of smart pots, and was told they are the same...

I'm currently running "Root Pots" made by Aurora and while I agree that roots don't pop out the side and bottom like Smart Pots, I believe they are root pruning just the same.

My thinking is that the roots grow into the fabric and die before making it out the other side of the fabric.:dunno:

Reason I say this is because after a full grow there is no circling of roots and the root mass is the same density as with smart pots.

I felt a bit ripped off when I first used the Roots but when it came time for the next crop I washed em up and used again without hesitation.
